It is an essential ingredient in establishing a quality system, meeting the requirements of the customers, and making Chikuma a company that is appreciated by customers.

ISO 14001 is an international certification pertaining to the environmental system published by ISO.

Why obtain
the certification?

It is because our production activities are closely linked to the environment. By devoting our efforts for recycling, conserving natural resources, saving energy, and reducing waste materials in every stage from production, use, and disposal, we will be highly appreciated by the people in the community.

Striving to maintain harmony between the environment and man,
we will take positive actions in every phase of our corporate activities with environmental protection in mind.

We will accurately assess the impact exerted by our production activity (consisting of the cold forging and machining work of automobile parts, which are our main products) on the environment. All of us will engage in environmental protection activities that are technically and economically possible, and make continuous improvements and prevention of pollution for environmental management system.

・	We will work on energy savings (Efficiency improvement for energy).
・	We will work on resource saving (Yield improvement)for effective use of resource and we will work on reducing industrial wastes and proper processing .

2.	We will devote our efforts to protect the environment by complying with the relevant environmental regulations and other requirements.

3.	Under this environmental policy, we will promote environmental protection activities by setting environmental objectives and targets. We will revise and implement objectives and targets on a regular basis, as needed.

4.	We will document this environmental policy, introduce it to all employees including director throughout the company.

5.	We will make this environmental policy available to the general public.
